Pull-Out Tray Installation – Butt Doors (Method 1)
- Find the desired height for your cabinet shelf. Insert the shelf pins at that location and place your shelf inside the cabinet
- Install the slides flush with the back of the cabinet, measuring 1½” in from the cabinet side
- Once you’ve marked your measurement, use ½” screws to fix the slides in place. Note: We secure one screw in the front and one in the back. For better access, you can pull out the slide to reach the rear holes. The drawer slides come with pre-drilled holes to assist with this
- Repeat the same process on the opposite side: measure 1½”, align, and screw the slide into place
- Place the pull out tray onto the shelf (Note: There are typically two holes in the front and two in the back of the glide. The front ones are easier to access with a driver. For the rear, it helps to detach the slide temporarily to get better access.)
- Screw the slide into the shelf or cabinet floor
Pull-Out Tray Installation – Butt Doors (Method 2)
- An alternate method is to install the slides directly onto the pull out tray. Then place the drawer with slides onto the shelf and run it all the way to the back of the cabinet
- Ensure that the tray is centered in the opening and clear of the hinges
- Use a tape measure to ensure equal distance on each side, or eyeball it and shift the drawer as needed
- Once centered, mark the front and back of the slides with a pencil
- Remove the drawer, detach the slides, and reattach them in the marked positions inside the cabinet
Pull-Out Tray Installation – Single Door
- When working with a cabinet that has only one door, measure 1½” from the hinge side of the door
- The opposite side (without a hinge) will sit flush against the inside of the cabinet wall
- With no hinge in the way, you can use the screws on the side of the drawer slides to secure them—just as you would with most standard installations
- Once you’ve measured 1½” off the hinge side, butt the other slide directly against the cabinet side and secure it either through the bottom or side holes
