Base Corner Blind Cabinet Drawer Over Door Assembly

Tools and Materials Needed

Dead Blow Hammer, Impact Driver, Camar Leveling Legs, Camar 15mm Leg Sockets, Blum Cliptop Mounting Plates, Blum Cliptop 95-degree Hinges with Blumotion, Blum Tandem Full Extension Concealed Undermount Drawer Glides with Blumotion

Screws Needed

8 x 1 ¾ (4×45 / 26mm) Screw with Countersunk Head (Used for Cabinet Box Assembly), Euro M6.3 x 13mm (5mm hole) Flat Head Screws (Used for mounting drawer glides), #8 x 1 ⅛ Modified Washer Head Screw (Used for mounting drawer fronts)

Box Part 1

  1. Lay the end panel on a level surface
  2. Align the drawer glides with the pilot holes, as shown
  3. Use Euro M6.3 x 13mm (5mm hole) Flat Head Screws to mount the drawer glides in place
  4. TIP: check that all female Lamello P-14 Tenso fasteners are level and centered within their slots
  5. Grab the top rails, with the finished ends facing the front
  6. Insert the male Lamello P-14 Tenso fasteners into the slots
  7. Snap into place
  8. Check for flush on the front face

Box Part 2

  1. Place the back panel into the groove
  2. Keep the rabbeted edge facing out
  3. Set the other side panel on top
  4. TIP: check that all female Lamello P-14 Tenso fasteners are level and centered within their slots
  5. Line up all Lamello P-14 Tenso fasteners
  6. Snap into place
  7. Check for flush on the front face

Screwing the box together

  1. Fasten the cabinet together with #8 x1¾ 4×45/26mm Screw with Countersunk Head
  2. Follow the pilot holes around each side panel
  3. Flip the cabinet over to the opposite side panel
  4. Fasten the cabinet together with #8 x1¾ 4×45/26mm Screw with Countersunk Head
  5. Follow the pilot holes around each side panel
  6. Flip the cabinet onto its head
  7. Fasten the cabinet together with #8 x1¾ 4×45/26mm Screw with Countersunk Head
  8. Follow the pilot holes around the back panel

Legs

  1. Place leg sockets into the deep 15mm pilot holes
  2. Socket tabs must be pointing toward the sides of the cabinet
  3. Hammer in the center pegs of the leg sockets to secure them in place
  4. With a dead blow hammer, pound the leg levelers into each socket
  5. Twist the bottoms to adjust leg height as needed

Blind Panel

  1. Insert the drawer and flip the cabinet onto its back
  2. Grab the blind panel and set gently in place
  3. Locate the hinge mounting plate holes on the blind panel
  4. The mounting plate arrows should be pointing toward the front face of the cabinet
  5. Screw the Blum Cliptop Mounting Plates in place
  6. Flip the panel over, with the finished side facing out
  7. The mounting plates should be positioned on the interior edge where the door will be mounted
  8. Make the blind panel flush with the top rail, bottom, and side panel
  9. Follow the pilot holes around the perimeter of the panel
  10. Secure the blind panel with #8 x1¾ 4×45/26mm Screw with Countersunk Head

Door

  1. Grab the Blum Cliptop 95° Hinges with Blumotion
  2. Press and snap into place on the door
  3. Line up the hinges with the mounting plates
  4. Snap and lock the hinges into place

DRAWER BOX & DRAWER FRONT INSTALL

The squaring of the cabinet box is essential, before mounting the drawer front

  1. PREP
    • Start the Orange Release Handles in their proper position
    • Line up hash marks for center
    • Push grey tab tight to the box
  2. LOCK
    • Slide your box onto the glides, until it locks into place
    • To release the box, squeeze the Orange Release Handles simultaneously
  3. ADJUST
    • Use the Orange Release Handles to fine-tune the drawer box positioning
    • More adjustments can be made after the drawer front is mounted
    • Roll to adjust side-to-side
    • Slide to adjust up and down
    • Roll to adjust depth
    • Rotate to adjust front tilt
  4. CHECK
    • Check that the gap surrounding the drawer box is even and level in relation to the opening
    • Thick Mounting Foam Tape can cause the drawer front to sit proud. This tape will be removed before the final drawer front install.
  5. SPACE
    • Use business or playing cards to create an even 1/8” gap across the top and bottom of the drawer front
  6. STICK
    • Place 2 pieces of double-sided Mounting Foam Tape to each end of the drawer box front
  7. PEEL
    • Peel and prepare to (temporarily) stick the drawer front in place
  8. PRESS
    • With the proper 1/8” gap, make the drawer front flush with each cabinet side and press into place
    • For mounting drawer fronts, use #8 x 1 1/8 Modified Washer Head Screws
  9. MARK
    • With the drawer front taped in place, use a pencil to mark guide lines around the corners
  10. PREDRILL
    • Set or mark your drill bit for the appropriate depth, and predrill into the drawer front
  11. ALIGN
    • Remove the foam tape
    • Partially insert the screws to stick out of the box & align them with the pilot holes
    • Use the pencil lines for reference
  12. FASTEN
    • Screw the drawer front permanently into place
    • Use the release handles and drawer glides for final adjustments if necessary
