tools and preparation
- Confirm Fit and Tools
- This pull-out holds two 50-quart bins and fits 15″ or 18″ cabinets.
- Tools – Drill / Impact Driver, Phillips Bit, 5/16″ Bit, 3/32″ Bit, Tape Measure, Pencil, Speed Square, and Blue Painter’s Tape.
- Unbox and Organize
- Open the box and remove all parts.
- Keep the large instruction paper—this will be used as a template.
SCREWS NEEDED
- All screws are included within the Trash Pull-Out packaging. There are three different screw types included in the larger “Wurth” box, and the toe-kick mechanism box including its respective screws as well.
Assemble the Pull-Out Frame
- Attach Plastic Connectors
- Install the left and right plastic pieces to the bottom panel (marked L and R).
- Install Side Panels
- Slide both side panels into the bottom using the plastic connectors.
- Secure the Frame
- Tighten machine screws to lock the sides to the base.
- Add the Top Panel
- Line up the hooks and holes, slide the top piece into place.
Install Slides in the Cabinet
- Use the Paper Template
- Place the template inside the cabinet to mark glide locations.
- Adjust for Frameless Cabinets
- Set the template back ¾ inch from the front before drilling.
- Drill Pilot Holes
- Drill the marked holes (15″ or 18″ depending on your cabinet size).
- Mount the Slides
- Install slides using the slotted holes first.
- Test fit the pull-out base, then install remaining screws.
Install the Toe-Kick Mechanism
- Drill Toe-Kick Holes
- Center the provided plastic guide and drill two holes with a 5/16″ bit.
- Mount the Mechanism
- Insert the pegs through the cabinet bottom and secure with screws.
- Finish With the Cap
- Snap the plastic cover over the toe-kick hardware.
Attach and Adjust the Door
- Prepare the Door
- Flip the template to side B.
- Measure ¾” up from the bottom of the door and align the template there.
- Drill Door Bracket Holes
- Drill the marked holes and attach the left and right door brackets.
- Connect Door to Pull-Out
- Insert the brackets into the frame slots and loosely hand-tighten screws.
- Adjust Alignment
- Use adjustment screws to fine-tune:
- In/out
- Up/down
- Left/right
- Use adjustment screws to fine-tune:
- Lock in Final Position
- Tighten all screws once margins are even.
- Snap on the plastic cover caps.
Finish Up
- Insert Trash Bins
- Place both trash cans into the pull-out frame.
- Test Operation
- Press the toe-kick to confirm smooth opening and closing.
- Installation Complete
- The trash pull-out is now fully installed and ready to use.
Key Tips
- Always use blue tape to protect cabinet finishes.
- The ¾” setback is essential for frameless cabinets.
- Double-check left/right part orientation before installing.
