tools

  • Impact Driver or Drill, T20 Bit (included in assembly kit), #2 Phillips Head or Blum Pozidriv Screwdriver, Rubber Mallet or Dead Blow Hammer

SCREWS NEEDED

  • 8 x 1 ¾ (4×45 / 26mm) Screw with Countersunk Head (Used for Cabinet Box Assembly)
  • Hinge Clips come with respective screws

Installing Hinge Clips

  1. Locate the Hinge Clip Holes
    • Take one cabinet side panel.
    • Find the two small holes near the front edge—these are for the hinge clips.
  2. Position the Hinge Clips Correctly
    • Place each clip so the arrow faces toward the front of the cabinet.
  3. Install the Clips
    • Insert the two plugs into the holes.
    • Tighten the screw so the clip expands and locks into place.
  4. Avoid Shelf Holes
    • Be careful not to confuse hinge clip holes with shelf holes (which are farther back).
  5. Optional Order of Installation
    • This hinge step can be done before or after assembly, but it’s easier to do it first.

Assembling the Cabinet Box

  1. Start With the First Side Panel
    • Lay one cabinet side flat on a table.
  2. Attach the Bottom Panel
    • Line up the Lamello Tenso clips on the bottom panel with the side panel.
    • Press firmly until they snap into place.
    • Use a rubber mallet if necessary.
  3. Install the Middle Divider
    • Align the clips on the divider and press it into place the same way.
  4. Install the Top Panel
    • Repeat the same snap-in process for the top section.
  5. Install the Back Panel
    • Orient the back panel correctly:
      • The pre-drilled screw holes must line up with the center divider.
      • The rabbet groove should face outward.
  6. Attach the Second Side Panel
    • Carefully align all Lamello clips on the remaining side.
    • Press into place and use a mallet if needed.
  7. Ensure All Clips Are Secure
    • Double-check that everything is fully snapped together.

Securing the Cabinet with Screws

  1. Locate the Screw Holes
    • Pre-drilled holes are already placed on the cabinet sides for easy alignment.
  2. Insert Cabinet Box Screws
    • Use the provided T20 bit and screws.
  3. Recess the Screws Slightly
    • Sink screws just below the surface to avoid gaps between panels.
  4. Screw All Key Areas
    • Install screws on:
      • Both sides of the cabinet
      • Top, bottom, and middle sections
      • Through the back panel into the center divider
  5. Keep Front Edges Flush
    • While tightening screws, make sure all front edges stay perfectly aligned and flush.

Installing the Doors

  1. Stand the Cabinet Upright
    • Once the box is fully secured, position the cabinet vertically.
  2. Prepare the Hinges
    • Insert hinges into the pre-drilled holes on each door.
  3. Lock Hinges Into Place
    • Push hinges into the holes and lock them by pressing down the hinge lever.
  4. Repeat for All Doors
    • Install hinges on all doors before attaching them to the cabinet.
  5. Attach Doors to Cabinet
    • Line up the hinge with the clip on the cabinet.
    • Hook the hinge bar onto the clip.
    • Press until it clicks into place.
  6. Install the Hinges in Order
    • Start with the top hinge first, then the bottom hinge.
  7. Repeat for All Four Doors
    • Attach the remaining upper and lower doors the same way.

Adjusting the Doors

  1. Use a #2 Phillips Head or Blum Pozidriv Screwdriver for Adjustments
    • The Blum hinges allow six-way adjustment:
      • Up / Down
      • Left / Right
      • In / Out
  2. Align Door Reveals
    • Adjust each door until gaps and alignment look even.
  3. Do Final Adjustments Later
    • It’s recommended to wait until the cabinet is mounted on the wall before perfecting door alignment.

Completion

  1. Confirm Everything Is Secure
    • Verify all clips are snapped in.
    • Check that screws are tight and recessed.
    • Make sure doors open, close, and align properly.
  2. Assembly Is Finished
    • Your upper door over-door cabinet is now fully assembled and ready to install.
  3. Repeat for Additional Cabinets
    • This same process applies to similar Access cabinets with only minor variations.

Final Tips

  • Having a helper makes assembly easier.
  • Always double-check back panel orientation.
  • Wait to fine-tune doors until after wall installation to avoid misalignment from cabinet racking.
  • It includes three shelves by default, with the option to order more.
